“The Social Network” premiered this evening and we took it in at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square. The film was quite compelling and very well made, although some of the motivations of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg differed from reality for the sake of the story.
I’d previously read the book that the film based its script upon and it seemed that Zuckerberg’s prime motivation in creating Facebook had to do more with the challenge then being accepted by particular social groups or an ex-girlfriend. Dramatically though, putting the focus on those themes made more sense.
