Some friends had a film entitled “The Vile” entered into the 1998 Luther College Film Festival. I helped a bit on the sound mixing, but wasn’t otherwise involved in the production.

It could be said that the title was a play on words concerning a vial being chased throughout the film.  Those various people chasing it behave in a, well, ‘vile’ manner.
